Things to consider when opening a takeaway shop?
Hello
I've just been accepted for a loan for my business. It will be a takeaway shop in a 'dark kitchen' so to speak. This is for now as it's very expensive to start off with our own shop but that's the goal. I've got a business plan and feel I've covered most corners and it was looked over by advisors who also agreed all corners had been covered since I was accepted for the loan.
I know this is a vague question but just wanted any people's thoughts on stuff I may need to consider or just things you believe helped you along the way that isn't a necessary requirement but good to have.
Also any business practices you implemented that really help in either keeping costs down or creating a great working environment.
Marketing strategies? Best ways to negotiate with suppliers? It is worth taking a online bookkeeping course beforehand or even if so should I speak with a accountant and run through all the numbers beforehand to ensure everything's in place and nothing major forgotten.
As I said I did do a in depth business plan and maybe I'm just over thinking now as I've been accepted for the loan and this plan for over 5 years in my head is becoming very close to being a reality providing I can secure this lease. Fingers crossed as initial meeting is tomorrow, any tips for that would be greatly appreciated as well. Thanks for any advice.
