Fusion Exhaust Mass Augmentation

Considering Inertial-Confinement fusion, is it possible to have an exhaust mass augmentation chamber? Something that adds extra propellant to the plasma exhaust so that you gain more thrust, while lowering Isp. What would be the formula for that? If it doesn’t work for ICF, what about for magnetic confinement? The fuels in mind are D-He3.
