NFL Touchdown Data (Week 9) (And a Confession..)

Confession first: I'm struggling with putting these posts/videos out with authenticity. The more I compile the data, the more I realize these colorful spreadsheets don't tell the whole story. Here are some examples:

"Miami's offense sucks! Only 9 TDs!" - *missing their QB for a majority of the season. He is now back*

"Rams only have 5 WR TDs this year?! I can't rely on Kupp or Nacua to score" - *they've been hurt*

"Denver has only allowed 4 rushing TD's this year - Henry isn't scoring this week" - *have they faced a player as lethal as Henry?*

You get the point. And if now, let me make it for you - THIS DATA IS NOT PREDICTIVE AND ONLY TELLS A SMALL (PROBABLY INSIGNIFICANT) PORTION OF THE STORY.

"Are you saying I shouldn't use this for guidance?" - I'm saying if you do, understand the limitations and look at the game within an entire context.

If you want to see a matchup breakdown of every game (like the one i provided for tnf) or want to hear me yap for 20 minutes about why this data is probably futile and I feel like I just had to sever a long term relationship with no warning - have fun with this video.
