Let's talk about Strelok

How do you feel about Strelok after completing the S2 story? Have you chosen his ending?

Personally, I had very mixed feelings - at first, when he appeared, I was in awe since I've replayed the original trilogy so many times. I immediately wanted to side with him and help his motives, especially since he clearly stated that Scar's motives are just delusions. As the game progressed though, I've felt more and more awkward following him. He seemed twisted, and his goal to preserve the Zone was weird. Didn't he seek to destroy it at first?

Also, Ward's ending states that the's a C-Counsciousness agent. I know that his file was in the book, but wasn't he mentioned there just as a failed attempt of brainwashing him?
