Personal Tips
Figured that I could get this off my chest here- Got a personal tip handed to me today for $50 dollars, but had to give it up because it wasn’t marked in a sealed envelope.
I went straight to my shift lead with it because I know it was on the camera, I just wish that the rule on this wasn’t so strict considering I’ve been busting my butt trying to get our customer connections and drive times down, and now I’m out a $50 tip that the customer was trying to give me as a ‘late Christmas present’…
I’ve had interpersonal issues with this particular shift lead, she likes to scold and talk down to baristas, and just today she interrupted me talking to another partner by literally yelling across the bar for me to put milks back in the fridge if I wasn’t busy. So I guess I’m just extra salty because it was this shift lead specifically telling me I wasn’t allowed to keep the tip :/
