I Took Steve-O to a Gallery!
So I'm a small artist who recently got my first opportunity to currate a real gallery space, it was a huge opportunity and of course my mind figured there was no better subject matter for my walls then Steve-O! The piece (Self Portait of Steve-O) is an absurd portrait of Steve done in acrylic, a bizarre, humorous yet ultimately loving homage to the often under appreciated yet ultimately fascinating brutal performance art like stunts of the Jackass Crew and the everyday resiliance and brutality many gender non-conforming queer people face in their daily lives. I think Jackass is alot gayer than most people realize but Ive always felt inspired and comforted by the way the whole crew feels entirely comfortable in their bodies and willing to explore their physical extents with a positive additude and a focus on brotherhood. u/streetdoglover I really hope you like it, yeah dude!
