The weight is FALLING OFF since quitting drinking

2 weeks since I severely cut down drinking, and one week since I quit entirely. I have also been dieting (but nothing extreme).

Y'all. It's not possible to lose this much weight in just two weeks, so I chalk it down to losing a lot of bloat. But I have lost at least one dress size in two weeks, maybe even two. My face is significantly slimmer and I look younger.

When I was drinking, I would usually have a bag of chips with it, or get some chicken nuggets and fries. I was never a big eater, but drinking made me crave junk food, and in the mornings when I was hungover I would usually get a breakfast burrito or a McMuffin and hashbrown.

Now, I'm eating veggies every day, and some kind of protein. I'm lower on carbs (not entirely low carb - I eat a lot of avocado toast, and yesterday I had a bunch of rice with sushi).

The first week was rough and I was craving alcohol every night. Today, I woke up and tried on some jeans that didn't fit me a month ago, and they almost fit me now. I can see them fitting perfectly in just a couple months. And they are my "tight" jeans.

I'm a medium/slim person. I'm not a big person by any means. So for me to notice such a big change, is huge.

I guess before I was consuming about 800 calories a day in alcohol (minimum), and eating on top of that another 400. So cutting all that out, no wonder I'm losing weight fast. (Edit: I was eating a lot more than 400 calories in food a day. I just meant I was eating an extra 400-800 for snacks to go with the alcohol)

Oh yes, I quit nicotine too! I only ever smoked when I was drinking, so it was easy for me to quit, but that is still two things I quit. Now when the late afternoon cravings hit, I take my dogs on a long walk, and that helps a lot. :)
