How do I get out of this?

I went to get ball sacks from the Blue Ball biome with my upgraded prawn suit. I somehow found my way inside and found an abandoned base with the alien containment. I was on my way out and couldn't find an exit, instead I've gone deeper and found myself going through three different sections with giant skeletons, finally stopping at this majestic looking tree. My cyclops is a thousand meters from me and couldn't find my way out. I found cool stuff now I can't find my way out.
