Are they really THAT loud in concert?

I have pretty bad social anxiety but I love the concert experience. I saw Death Grips live without ear plugs and had a great time back around 2017. How do Swans compare to that? They get hyped up SO much as being insanely loud and I'm seeing them in Boston in May, and I'm pretty nervous. I did buy earplugs. So I guess I'm asking, are they genuinely super loud or is it just like "loud if you're not used to loud music?" Thanks.
