What do you think the show would have been like if Blanche's grandson David moved in with the Girls full time?

I was just rewatching the season one episode 'On Golden Girls' and the line came up where David wanted to live with the girls permanently, and the thought crossed my mind of what the rest of the series would look like if that ended up happening, maybe seeing more of Blanche's daughter Janet and the Yankee? Either way I'd love to hear the thoughts from people in this wonderful community!
