Mysterious Key

So I found a Mysterious key. Not sure what it goes to but exited to find out. Problem is my wife killed me in spar. I don't mind the dying thought it was funny and feels like a big mechanic of the game. I did make her my reparations enemy though. But the main question when I died I had the key on me. It didn't respawn. Is there a way to get the key again?
