Insurance Reimbursement in Oregon and what is a fair rate for contractor v full time employee?
Hi there, I am about to be newly independently licensed after being a CSWA, and once I get my independent license I am wanting to switch practices since I think my current private practice underpays a bit. As I look for new jobs, I am wondering a couple things:
What is a reasonable flat hourly rate OR a reasonable percentage split, for being a contractor and for being a w-2 employee?
What are the average insurance reimbursement rates in the Portland Oregon area? (I know folks may not be able to post this bc insurance companies don’t want us talking about it but just want a general sense). Particularly interested if OHP actually reimburses $185 per session which based on my googling I think it seems to?
I recently realized I don’t know what rate my current practice bills per session, I just get paid $56 an hour as a CSWA. Wherever I go next I at least want to have a sense of how much is coming in per session so I can better understand if I am being fairly compensated.
Thanks for any insight!!
