moving game to an external hard drive 🎮💻

has anyone here successfully moved their game to an external drive? my game is taking up an insane amount of space on my computer and i’ve over it. i’ve watched a few YT tutorials, but i would love to hear any tips y’all may have of your experiences with doing so.
