[PC][2000s—2010s][Russian(?)] Underwater "platformer", weird sea creature looking for its babies.
Platform: PC.
Genre: 2D top-down, platformer(?).
Estimated year of release: Mid 2000s—early 2010s. I got it somewhere around 2014—2015 but it may have been released earlier than that.
Graphics/art style: The style was quite intricate and vibrant but also cartoony. The sea backdrop was pretty dark but there were a lot of glowy bright elements in the levels. The characters were very simple and cute with big eyes. It kinda reminds me of Rayman Origins/Legends, but more simplistic.
Notable characters: Player character is a weird axolotl/tadpole type sea creature, there are also little babies of the same species which you collect in the levels.
Notable gameplay mechanics: I can't remember if you used a mouse or keyboard to control the character but I'm leaning towards mouse, or allowing both interchangeably. The game was split into separate levels with a distinct start and end and some kind of way to select between them. The goal of each level was to get to the end but it might've also had you fulfill other requirements (like collecting a certain amount of babies). All the levels took place underwater, you would swim around while avoiding obstacles like rocks which could harm your character. If you took enough damage you would die and respawn at an earlier point in the level. The babies you collected would follow behind you in a line and I think grant you extra health, but would break away/die if you did take damage. They may have also given you other abilities like extra speed or something. The ocean was really dark and hard to see in sometimes so you always had to be on the lookout for stuff that emitted light (like the babies). I'm pretty sure there were enemies/mobile obstacles as well but not 100%. The gameplay also kinda reminds of water levels in Rayman Origins but I don't think this game has anything to do with Rayman.
Other details: I remember the soundtrack being really slow and calming, maybe having woodwind instruments, harps and bells. I don't quite remember the story of the game (or if there even was one), but I think the general plot was that the protagonist's babies got lost/kidnapped and that's why you had to collect them. I know for a fact that the game came in disc form. The box for the disc was square and had the game's cover art and title on it. I think the title was only one word, and may have been a made up one, but I'm not sure. I linked a sloppy rendition of the cover art at the bottom, it's probably not that accurate, but I think I got the composition down. I know the game was released in Russia, as that's where I got it, but I'm not sure if it originated from there. The game was in Russian though, so even if it was a port, it was properly translated.
