Unpopular Opinion: Kalki is fun to watch even at home with family
My family might be an exception, but we’re having a blast observing the little details that are in Kalki’s world and fully on board with everything. We disliked the first half in theaters but have started liking it now (esp. SUM80, Yaskin parts), probably cuz it’s become familiar. Of course it can be better and edited at a faster pace, but it never felt boring to us, and we’re on our third watch at home, 6th overall (yes, we went 3 times).
We have a big OLED TV and a great sound system which might affect this, but I really don’t think Kalki is mediocre at all when watching at home. It’s a nice shift from the repetitive, tried and tested formulas we see in commercial Indian cinema.
