I present a new trans headcanons: Teen Titans!
In the season 3 episode "Deception", cyborg has to go undercover as a human to infiltrate the HIVE academy, in his experiences there he finds out that Brother Blood is hypnotizing the students into worshipping him
However I want to highlight an aspect I've caught on all my subsequent rewatches of this episode, after the Titans beat brother blood and the hive, Cyborg and Starfire have a talk about his experiences being at HIVE, he says that he felt bullied and demeaned while there, however he felt included being a human alongside the other students and said he missed the feeling of being a human and "normal", and Starfire reaffirms him that his identity will always be normal to her, and that put a big smile on my face when I saw that
The gender dysphoria subtext in this episode and honestly throughout a lot of the show is pretty strong, I can talk about my love for Teen Titans all day if I wanted to, this show has absolutely aged well through it's depictions of racism, PTSD, psychological abuse, and the team's relationships being excellently developed
Anytime I see people dismiss this series it honestly hurts a bit, this show was awesome and I've wanted to share this takeaway I've had for a while, go watch Teen Titans it's fun :)
