Wrote my state representative
I finally have had enough. Triwest has not done enough to fix the issues and their bandaid solutions are no longer cutting it. So I wrote to my state representative. The next week day I got a call from their office and the same day I sent in my privacy release they submitted a formal congressional inquiry. 16 years and I have never experienced this level of utter incompetence from Tricare, and they weren’t fantastic to begin with but at least there was some level of care. Now my civilian providers can’t even access the portal to submit prior authorizations that Tricare requires, and I can’t just switch plans to get out of that requirement. Hopefully something will come from this. I was pleasantly surprised at how seriously the State Representative office has taken my complaint. Access to care is important! They won’t know there is a problem unless people speak up.
