Scared of needles. Only went a quarter inch deep

Absolutely scared of needles, feels like I’m going to pass out when doing it. Just did my 3rd ever injection and I started noticing that I’ve only been going a quarter inch deep on my shoulder. Will this just be absorbed a lot slower?
