Such a bummer

Just in time for NYE too 🤣😭
Turns out if you damage a Hertz rental at all, they now won’t let you rent ANY car until the damages are assessed, which takes a week minimum.
Been renting a Tesla model 3, making 3-4x the rental payment weekly doing premium and comfort rides in my market for the last 4 months. Had the LDW full coverage insurance the whole time.
Friday night ran over what I thought was a plastic bag in the middle of the road. Turns out it was hard plastic that scraped the bottom of the car in such a way that damaged the battery. Then while on the phone with roadside assistance, something fell from a tree or power line and damaged the glass as well.
Given that these damages are probably costly, I may be unable to rent from Hertz again for up to a year.
Such a bummer considering I had finally found a strategy in my market that was bringing in 1.6-2k per week without driving the party crowd home.
Guess this whole last four months was one big unicorn 😭
