A venting - Absolutely horrible customer service manager
It's just a rant and venting.
I contacted customer service via the chat and explained to them how i needed to leave today instead of Friday (having some health issues so cutting my trip short). I tell them im hoping I can get an exception on the fare difference. The regular agent tell me the normal speech , so i said can you please escalate to a manager.
Here comes Angelica Pearl F. the manager who literally tells me the same thing and that United never does an exception for anything (which is not true at all because last year I got one for a family reason). I literally asked her if she could do something again and she said nope, nothing i can do, just pay the fare difference and have a good day. Ends the chat right there. I have dealt with United's customer service and she was the worst ever.
Update: After speaking with another manager, I got my wish and it was painless. Both agents were very understanding and courteous. This post can now be put to rest. Thank you to some of you on the DMs who gave me some advice.
