How is the life at the U?
Hey guys!
I have a few questions because I have been admitted to the U but I still have some thing to figure out before fully committing. DISCLAIMER: I am an international student so all those things to ask feel pretty normal to me, but this is not an offense or anything bad to people from Utah. I just genuinely have some questions to ask.
- Realistically speaking, what is the population of Mormons on campus ? Are they sometimes judgy towards you ?
- I have been in the USA since 4 years already and feel ready to meet people. What is the population of girls that will be acting like me ? (Can drink, can have sex whenever before marriage…). Studies is my first goal obviously, but I also want to meet people because I am not a kid anymore lol.
- Are people partying ? Is alcohol something that you need to hide or can I just drink beer/liquor whenever I want ? Can you buy alcohol freely ? Is there clubs and bars serving alcohol and not looking at you weird ?
- I plan on living off campus. How is the life off campus ? Expensive for rent ? Good transportation for groceries ?
- Is there a bias nationally when you apply for a job in the country and you are from the U ? Is the network and the school nationally recognised ?
Again all of those questions are from an outside perspective and are not aimed at dissing or making fun of anyone !
