What’s wrong with the Forest Service hiring?
TL;DR Current Forest service employee waiting for final offer since March this year. Should I be more proactive in communication, be patient, or give up?
Hi all, I’m a current employee of the Forest Service trying to transfer to a new position at a separate duty station. I’ve already interviewed and received soft offer (let’s call that a TJO) over the phone back in 3/25. I have been in the process of waiting for relocation incentive paperwork to make its way through the system and I have been told it’s back in HR hands but needs one more level of red tape to go through. Hopefully, I hear back with a final offer soon but the process has been arduous! I am exhausted of waiting and asking (constantly) from my future supervisor and HR agent about my final offer — I do this almost once a week to stay on top of things.
Is there anyone out there undergoing, or have gone, a similar process as I’ve described. What do you guys recommend? Patience, more communication, going above the people I’ve talked to?
