Don't Go To City Style Barbers On Phillip St!!!
Hey guys, if you look for barbers on the subreddit, you often see recommendations for Muhamad at City Style but I just had an absolutely horrid experience there today and thought I'd share how it went to raise some awareness. I have no reason to write an entire essay about some random barbershop but these guys are just going to keep scamming people if nothing is done.
The google reviews for this place are most certainly fake and this store is an actual scam. They don't actually know how to fade hair at all and despite the great location and shop, these guys provide great clips level 5 dollar haircuts for 35$ premium barber prices, this can be confirmed by looking at the other negative reviews which all state the same thing. I would honestly give them 0 stars if that was an option.
Muhamad showed up 15 minutes late to my appointment despite me getting a call from the store to get there on time. The entire haircut was done using just clippers and he didn't even use scissors at all, which I have never seen any barber do in my 19 years on this earth. He proceeded to buzz the entire side of my head, despite me asking for a mid fade which he acknowledged but clearly didn't execute. The entire haircut was done without changing the lever on the trimmer or changing any of the blade guards, any man can look at the picture I've attached and see that what they did to my hair is definitely not a fade. After all this, they charged my $35 for a skin fade when what I have is clearly a zero fade since he didn't use a foil shaver or razor at all. I needed a haircut St Patrick's day and these guys have now completely ruined my look and mood. Don't get misguided by these fake reviews and definitely ignore this place, if you want a fade go somewhere else and if you just need a normal haircut then don't waste 35 bucks here and just go to a regular shop.
