Japanese Second Language Exam Strategies by 50 study score tutor

My tutor has given me some tips for this years exam:

• You HAVE to write your full legal name on every single writing task that you do in the exam.
• You CANNOT use any kanji outside of the 200 prescribed kanji as examiners may not understand it and this may cause you to lose marks.
• Both listening sections you HAVE to write in english and it has to be DIRECTLY translated, no paraphrasing is allowed.
• For Section B Part 1, 75% of the information will come from the reading task and the listening task will be less important
• For Section B Part 2, you are able to ask for more pieces of genkoyoushi paper and it will be provided to you, you are not limited to only 1 page.
• For Section C, all the prompts will be related to Japanese Culture and there will not be a creative prompt.
