My cat is drinking water from his paw

My cat used to drink water normally, he drinks a lot from the glass, which is why we put in glass. He doesn’t drink from running water. We changed the location of the water to a place visible to the camera, and I know it shouldn’t be too close to the food. However, we noticed that he has started using his paw to drink. Previously, he only did this when he couldn’t reach the water at the bottom of the glass. Now, he never bends down to drink. Could this indicate a health issue? There’s no problem with his movements; he jumps, leaps, and stretches. He is 3.5 years old and male.
