Latency spread and how Matchmaking works
Over the last 4 weeks, I noticed how much the latency varies from match to match. The game mode does not play a role. You can have an Elimination match with 20-30ms (ingame monitor) and another one goes by 150-160ms. Even from one round to another, the latency goes up and down.
In Encounters, I found, that whenever a lot of players are on the map (or nearby), the ping goes up. Does anyone know about this relation?
Where are the servers based? Are there dedicated regions like US and Europe? How is matchmaking working taking into account players from different regions are on the same map?
It got several times really annoying from rubberbanding to buttons/loot is not responding to weapon switching or even reloading not working.
Yes, you might ask if this is related to my own internet connection, but believe me: it is very stable, reliable and not the problem (ping around 8-9 ms).
Who else have similar issues and what to do? Or is this even an issue already adresses to the Devs?
