What are some funny/weird “American” things to do with friends visiting from abroad?

I have 2 very close friends (P 32M British, H 32F Swedish) that are coming to spend 10 days with me in September. We haven't seen eachother in person in 5 years and this is their first trip to the U.S.

P, H, and I all met as uni students abroad. We are all generally goofy and love to explore all the random/weird/kitschy stuff in the places we visit. They are really excited for this trip and have requested some random but fun activities that are very American or very DMV.

So far I've planned out the following:

  • Maryland Renaissance Festival
  • Laurel's House of Horrors
  • The Mansion on O
  • A Rage Room
  • Korean BBQ and Karaoke
  • La Boum Brunch
  • And, at their insistence, Olive Garden (for the unlimited breadsticks lol)

What are some of your suggestions? Open to swapping some of these out for better ideas!

What are some fun bars or breweries that you guys love? What about places to eat? H is a vegan, but P is a certified carnivore so maybe a different spot for each? They are both chill and able to adapt.

Thanks in advance!
