GR Corolla vs M240i xDrive

Honestly, the only reason I’m comparing the B58 beast to the 3 cylinder Rally car is because I know Toyota takes the cake when it comes to reliability, they’re known to hold better value and with the Core model I can find them under $40k.

But $40-45k for the GRC interior is not sitting right with me knowing i could get a M240i/M340i/M440i etc. with a waaaaaayyy better interior and not have my warranty voided for going over 85 mph. But coming from an E90 328i the maintenance costs and repairing german engineering can be annoying. Idk where i would be without FCPEuro, they’ve been such a life saver. If anyone has had problems with their G42/G20/G22 i would love to hear your story.

I’m open to other options you can think of under $40-$45k that’s NOT electric, AWD since we get rain, snow and all the above in the Mid-Atlantic and something with a good “0-60 vs MPG” ratio. Other than maybe a Porsche or a Supra, It’s looking like the M240i takes the crown with a 4.1 0-60 and 26 combined MPG.
