Whatsapp not giving me the option to restore

Hoping to get some help, because I have a back up on my drive but I'm not given a prompt to restore my chats through WhatsApp for some reason. I just backed up Google drive and I've also tried reinstalling the app multiple times. It's driving me mad. Anyone else had the same problem or have a solution? Please help
