Help! Can't restore whatsapp from google drive, backup, not visible

I desperately try to restore my backup. The backup is in my google account from a few days ago.

Check:

*Backup is in Google drive

*Enough space on phone (5 times backup size)

I tried to:

*Uninstall, re install

*Update all the google apps

*Giving al the possible permissions to whatsapp, Google drive, Google play store, Google (settings, apps, permissions)

*Another old phone (same problem)

*Remove battery, restart, turn of, turn on.

*Remove google account, remove cache from whatsapp, delete it, login google play, reinstall whatsapp, remove google account, open whatsapp, login google account.

And other variations....

I keep getting the screen 'Add an account' when you try to restore a backup. When I log into my Google account there is stil no account showing.

If I say 'skip', than I still see no chats. I can connect my google account for a backup, than it says, backup has been succesfully on 25-12-2024. So the backup can be seen, but not restored? Or not seen or be found by the installation.

Does anyone have any ideas?
