Whatsapp messages gone after ios 18.3 update?

All my WhatsApp messages have disappeared, and the only change I made to my phone that might have affected the app was the iOS update. I was logged out of WhatsApp without realizing it, and when I logged back in today, all my messages were gone. I don’t have a backup set up. Is there any way to recover my messages with the help of WhatsApp support?
