Why nobody’s talking about writing for the Witcher 4 trailer ?

I get that it’s just a trailer and it can’t have a deep complex plot, but good game trailers are mini stories that are meant to invoke some emotions. What happens in this trailer ? There are backwards villagers who want to sacrifice this girl due to their backwards beliefs. Siri simply despises them off the bet, she kills the monster to save the girl, villagers kill the girl anyways, Siri kills the villagers for being so backward. This feels nothing but bitter from start to finish. Wouldn’t it have so much more emotional depth if Siri was hopeful for the villagers at first, genuinely trying to help them, just to be heartbroken and disappointed at the end. When she kills them she does it with a heavy heart, and it doesn’t feel like she just does what she wanted to do from the start.

If you look at the two Witcher 3 trailers, again not that deep, but emotions are a lot more colorful. The launch trailer with Witch Hunters, starts with them being power drunk sadsits, yet Gerald is a bit conflicted about getting involved. After some short but epic action it ends with a bit of ironic justice. Started horrific but kinda makes you smile at the end.

The night to remember trailer is truly a master peace IMHO. Switching back and forth between bruxa’s human and monster sides plus Geralt being a bit somber about doing this job because he doesn’t think that non humans inherently deserve death, plus action and music - almost makes me tear up. Wish there was some of that in the new trailer, instead it’s like an empty shell of the Witcher 3 trailers. Something happened where truly creative people often are not allowed nowhere near big IP’s anymore.
