Advice please!
So we’re newish to having a woodstove as our main (kind of only) heat source in our split level. Last year was our first year and we learned a lot. For context, we’re in Rhode Island.
The thing is, we wake up every morning to nothing in the woodstove. No coals, just ash. And the house is usually in the low 60s on top level and upper 60s on main level where the woodstove is.
At night, we get a nice coal bed & load the fire. Close the intake/draft caps almost all the way. We close the damper just a bit. We have 4 fans to move the air. Thank you for any advice!
