How do you choose which stories you write?

I have another question, lol.

Out of all of the ideas/stories rattling around in your brain, which stories do you decide to write? How do you decide? Do you have certain criteria or is it just a feeling?

Please feel free to expand however you like. I'm still trying to figure out what sort of writer I am and the stories I want to create, so I'd love to pick your brain.
