Four years in, how’s everyone feeling about Xbox Series X?

Not sure how I’m feeling about this generation with the series x. I’ve had it since launch, but never felt a real Xbox experience with it.

Sure, the speed and quality is way better. Game pass has been cool at times. But nothing from it feels like Xbox, if that makes sense.

I just picked up a ps5 pro, and it’s basically what I expected. I’m not a huge single player fan, so I wasn’t expecting to be blown away, but I’m surprised by a few things.

The controller. I hate the stick placement, but the rest is awesome. It really feels like a whole different experience with the feedback and speaker. Also the UI feels so smooth and responsive. Just feels more premium.

Xbox. I love that controller. But it’s so damn boring. I’m not saying change it. But having those improvements would be great.

The dash has always been meh to me. It’s fine. No big deal. But gets a little janky and feels clunky and slow. Same with the app, especially compared to PS app.

The games is the real disappointment for me. I really wanted to like Halo infinite. I tried digging it but it’s just so lackluster. There hasn’t been a title that really syncs so well with the hardware like this is THE game on Xbox. PlayStation has a few.

Im not even sure where it goes now. Like are they sorta done with the Xbox and going along with game pass and getting games everywhere? Maybe just focus on the handheld? Is the Xbox console we know basically done?

What’s everyone’s take after four years?
