Disc Drive Not Working After Laser Replacement

Hi. I am new into the Xbox 360 repair world, coming from the OG area. I got this in a lot of broken consoles, and originally the laser would not work. After replacement, the disc tray does not open or close. I may have screwed something up. Help.

Note: This is a jasper, and teh only reason I am not parting it out is think it’s worth saving. Also the photo attached is how far it comes out.
