People Shouldn't Care if the NFL Allows People to Take a Knee or Not

No it's not a free speech issue or if it is then social media companies censoring things is a free speech issue too since in both cases it's about a policy implemented by a private organization.

It's just football. People throw a ball around for your entertainment. If you like playing or watching football good for you but it's not some big consequential thing. It's not going to reduce the price of eggs or cool the planet or give everyone healthcare. That this is even a political issue is a distraction and both the left and the right are ridiculous for caring so much about whichever policy the NFL decides on. If it really bugs you so much don't go to the games and stop watching them on TV.

Personally I think they should allow it not for free speech but for a rather dry logical reason. Taking a knee during the national anthem has nothing to do with athletic ability and support meritocracy whenever it is achievable. But since it's just a game played for people's entertainment I don't really care. The NFL is a private organization and can do what ever they want on this.
