Something new I discovered: You can add daily mood logs to Journal
One of my earliest problems with Journal is the way it handles mood logging. From the Journal app, it only lets you log moods that are in the moment and not your overall day moods like the Health App supports. This is problematic when you're someone like me that can sometimes go a few days without logging entries and then batch up a few days and write them because that logged mood will only apply to the current time & day and not the entries' day.
Solution I found was going into the Health app and specifically logging your mood as a overall day mood there. From there, give it a bit of time (~10 mins) and go back into the Journal app and when you write a new entry, it can read your moods from the Health App. You can then select the daily mood that you logged and that will attach it to the day's entry, and will also allow you to continue viewing your daily moods in the Health app.
