I'm married but I'm not married?

Hi everyone :) so in 2021 I applied for NSFAS, and I was told I need to sign an affidavit stating I'm not married because according to their background check I was.

Now, in 2024, when I was applying to rent an apartment, the landlords check came back with me still being married.

Could this be an admin error or am I possibly a victim of fraud marriage? I was born in 1998 (turning 26 this year) if that helps at all.
