Yes I do talk about my ring a lot, I'm newly engaged and very excited!! I did specifically ask for a lab Diamond. It's cheaper and more ethical. Why would I want a mined diamond when I believe it to be unethical. Mined diamonds are usually mined by people who have no choice, sometimes no/very little pay, children and people with zero protection. Many people die after being exploited in the diamond industry. I asked him for one when we started talking about marriage. I'm not "pretending" it's what I wanted. It IS what I wanted. Thanks for asking what I do! I am a student getting my Masters degree so that I can also work in healthcare. That's a little less relevant as I wasn't the one to buy the ring. I put in what he does because, as many know, residents are broke lol so it made sense why my sister suspected he wouldn't be able to afford a mined diamond.

I just want to say that you might want a smaller day to day ring. A 5 karat ring is big enough to get caught on a lot of stuff.
