Glad its working for you but coming from someone who has been on sema for about six months to lose weight bc of an anxiety-induced ED, therapy is probably going to be the only way to help the underlying issues. Sema is taking away your current coping mechanism of binging, but you said yourself that you started binging bc of job-related stress, and that kind of stress itself is not something sema can help with. Its like taking advil to mask chronic pain. The pain is still there, but you don't feel it bc of the medication and it won't go away until you get to the root cause. If you work with someone who has expertise in stress management and EDs they can help you learn to manage stress without binging (I'd recommend a DBT therapist bc they specialize in coping mechanisms). Also depending on your insurance dieticians and therapists can be a lot less expensive than $140/session. I'm currently seeing a therapist while on sema (albiet prescribed by my PCP so not compounded) and together they're the only thing that has worked for me to both lose weight AND develop healthy coping mechanisms instead of food-related ones
