I think that is because they fit a little loose. But I reached out and they said that the loose fit was normal so I didn't think much about it. But they seem to wear quickly. I have a pair of dress shoes that I wore pretty much religiously for 7 years and I finally had them resoled. And the heel was about the same kind of wear

I am removing them by hand. These things are getting sunday driver kind of treatments as they are the most expensive shoes I own by a large margin!
