I only ever had back pain prior to surgery. Once the testicle was removed it honestly felt like such a relief and release on my body. Never really experienced any during chemo.

Best thing to do is tell your boyfriend to talk to either his oncologist or the nurses who are administering chemo. Mine were some of the nicest, most helpful and caring people I've ever met. They've seen all sorts of things and, more importantly, they can provide drugs to help.

Yolk sac tumours greatly elevate the Tumour Marker called AFP. If his AFP is elevated before chemo and normalize after chemo there is a chance that the tumours were only made of Yolk Sac.

If the nodes shrink he won’t need it but if they don’t he will . It’s a major surgery but if done at a high volume center he will be just fine. An rplnd can be anywhere from 3-12 hours it completely depends.
